Le Petit Guerinaud

The house was built around 1920 in typical "Charentaise style a la Maison de Maïtre" and is enclosed on the north side by the old barns, which used to be the place for humans & animals, hay storage, the wine press, wine cuves (storage tanks) and a distillation kettle. The surrounding fields are no longer used as a vineyard, but for agricultural products such as wheat, corn and sunflowers.

Inside, the house has been (partially) renovated and equipped with all comforts, while retaining the old character. The house exudes tranquility and warmth thanks to its light and brocante interior.
On the ground floor an entrance / hall, kitchen diner, bedroom with separate toilet and shower.
On the first floor are the 2 completely renovated guest rooms, Pure & Original, each of 35m2,
with a large bed (180x200) or 2 single beds, sitting area, en-suite bathroom and toilet.
Both sunny rooms have a nice view on the garden and the fields.
Outside, next to the house is an "auvent", a covered terrace, where breakfast and dinner are served if the weather is nice. The garden is located on the south side of the house, with various wonderful seating areas.

The Charente is known for ..... its lovely hilly landscape, mild climate, delicious gourmet food, excellent wine and cognac. Of course various possibilities for walking, cycling, outdoor, beach, river, swimming, canoe, golf. Beautiful cities such as: Angoulême, Cognac, Aubeterre, Riberac, Périqueux, Brantôme, Bergerac, Bordeaux, Saint Émilion and also the various seaside villages, with delicious oysters and mussels, with cozy shops and terraces, are well worth a visit.

We warmly welcome you to enjoy your stay, a delicious meal with a good glass of wine,
to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet at Le Petit Guerinaud.
